MUM Erin Corner has died four years after her toddler Zac lost his life in a caravan blaze that left another of her sons with burns.
A statement on Erin’s TikTok page said she “passed away pain free and peacefully” yesterday morning.
It added: “You all made a massive impact in her final months and weeks and we are so grateful to you all.”
Erin, from Pontrhydfendigaid in Ceredigion, was diagnosed with terminal cancer after losing her three-year-old son Zac in a caravan fire in 2020.
Zac and his four-year-old brother Harley were having a sleepover at their dad Shaun’s caravan in Ffair Rhos, West Wales, when the blaze broke out.
Brave Shaun, 28, battled through smoke and flames in a bid to rescue both boys.
Shaun saved Harley and despite being severely injured, he tried to get Zac, but it was too late and the fire was too intense.
At the time, doctors told Erin that Harley’s chances of survival were slim due to the extensive burns he had and he was in a coma.
When Harley woke up, he could remember that his brother had died.
Erin had previously lost a son as a baby.
The mum told last year how she had written birthday and wedding cards for her surviving sons after getting the terminal cancer diagnosis.
She said: “They’ve already lost brothers and now they’ll lose their mum.”
