BPSSC SI Prelims Admit Card 2024: The Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) has issued the admit cards for the preliminary examination for the positions of Sub-Inspector Prohibition in the Prohibition, Excise & Registration Department, and Police Sub-Inspector, Vigilance in the Vigilance Department. To download the admit card, candidates can visit the official BPSSC website at bpssc.bih.nic.in and log in using their Registration ID or mobile number along with their Date of Birth.
Scheduled for January 28, 2024, the preliminary examination is scheduled from 11 am to 1 pm.Candidates are required to arrive at the examination centre by 9:30 am. The recruitment examination aims to fill a total of 64 vacancies.
To participate in the examination at the designated examination centre, ensure to carry a valid photo identification card such as Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, or Aadhaar in addition to the electronic admit card. The identification card must be presented during the examination. In case the photograph on the e-admit card is unclear or unavailable, the candidate should bring two recent photographs (taken within the last two months), identical to those submitted with the application form, to the examination venue.
An alternative solution is available for candidates facing difficulties downloading the e-admit card from the website. They can personally visit the Bihar Police Under Service Commission on January 24, 2024, between 10 am and 5 pm. The duplicate e-admit card can be obtained at the commission’s office, situated at K 5, Harding Road, Patna-800001. To obtain the duplicate e-admit card, candidates should appear in person, incurring their own expenses, and provide a photocopy of the acknowledgement of their application form along with a valid photo identity card.
BPSSC SI Prelims 2024: Written Examination
The written examination comprises two stages: the preliminary and main examination. Both stages will feature papers structured with multiple-choice questions.
The preliminary examination will consist of a 200-mark paper with 100 questions, and candidates will have a duration of 2 hours to complete it. The questions in this stage will revolve around general knowledge and contemporary issues. Candidates scoring below 30 per cent will not qualify for the main examination.
Candidates who successfully clear the preliminary examination will be selected at a rate of 20 times the number of available vacancies. The selection will be made based on merit, and reservations will be applied category-wise.
BPSSC SI 2024: Main Written Examination
The main examination will consist of two papers. The first paper, focusing on General Hindi, will have a duration of 2 hours and carry 200 marks with 100 questions. It is mandatory for candidates to secure a minimum of 30 per cent qualifying marks in this paper. However, the marks obtained in the General Hindi paper will not contribute to the overall merit determination.
The second paper of the main examination will cover General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics, and a mental ability test. This paper will be worth a total of 200 marks, comprising 100 questions, and candidates will have a duration of 2 hours for its completion.
A penalty of 0.2 marks will be applied for each incorrect answer in both the preliminary and main written examinations. The answer sheets will be duplicated, with one copy securely retained by the Commission.
