No water in these Tshwane areas for 12 hours on Wednesday

The City of Tshwane has announced a scheduled upgrade to the water supply network in the Queenswood reservoir area, set to take place on 17 January 2024.

This essential maintenance work aims to enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of the water supply network, ensuring a more sustainable and resilient system for the community.

During the upgrade period, technicians from the City will be conducting necessary improvements to the water supply infrastructure in Queenswood.

Areas that will have no water on Wednesday

This will impact several suburbs, including Koedoespoort, Villieria, Waverley, Moregloed, Queenswood, and Rietfontein. Residents in these areas are advised to plan accordingly.

To facilitate the upgrade process, residents are urged to refrain from watering gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 6:00 and 18:00 on the scheduled day.

Additionally, avoiding vehicle washing with hosepipes and temporarily refraining from filling swimming pools during the upgrade period is encouraged.

As part of a long-term water conservation effort, residents are recommended to consider installing low-flow showerheads and tap aerators. Despite the temporary inconvenience, these measures are essential to maintaining and improving the water supply infrastructure in Queenswood.
