NEW DELHI: The Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) Main Exam 2023 has been deferred. Minister Kirodi Lal Meena announced the Cabinet’s decision to postpone the RPSC RAS Main test after considering the appeals from distressed applicants, as per media reports.
As per the earlier statement, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) planned to conduct the RPSC RAS Main Exam 2023 on January 27 and January 28, 2024.However, the RAS exam date has been postponed and new date to conduct the examination will be announced in due course.
A media house has quoted Kirodi Lal Meena saying, “On the lines of the Union Public Service Commission, Rajasthan Public Service Commission will also release its examination calendar.” The statement indicated the establishment of a dedicated investigation team to prevent paper leaks, ensuring swift inquiry into related cases, and taking stringent measures against those found responsible.
The RPSC RAS Prelims Result 2023 was announced in October. The RAS recruitment process is being conducted to fill up a total of 905 vacancies, of which 424 posts are for state services and 481 for subordinate services.
In the preliminary exam, candidates were provided with five options for each question, and they were required to mark the correct answer on the OMR sheet. Candidates who failed to darken any of the five circles in over 10% of the questions have been disqualified.
