Total Questions: JEE Main Paper 1 consists of 90 questions, evenly distributed with 30 questions per subject. Candidates are required to solve a total of 75 questions during the examination.
Scoring System: In JEE Main Paper 1, each correct response earns candidates 4 marks, while an incorrect answer results in a deduction of 1 mark. Unanswered questions do not contribute to the overall score. The total marks achievable in Paper 1 amount to 300.

The pattern of JEE Main Paper 1 involves a three-hour examination comprising questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, covering the 11th and 12th-grade CBSE syllabus. The use of NCERT textbooks and understanding various question types is recommended for effective preparation.

The exam is scored out of 300 marks, with a negative marking of minus 1 for incorrect answers. To qualify for JEE Advanced, students must achieve a percentile exceeding 90. For admission to top NIITs and specific branches, aiming for a score of 180 plus out of 300 is recommended for a competitive rank.
