Following its debut temporary store opening in the UK at the end of last year, digital retailer Nadine Merabi has been quick to test another new physical market.
Having first opened a store on London’s South Molton Street for the festive season, the high-end fashion brand has just taken another pop-up location, this time in New York’s SoHo district, “strategically timed to coincide with the climax of New York Fashion Week”.
We’re told the store, on Wooster Street, is a “celebration of style… with a captivating blend of monochrome simplicity, allowing the show-stopping designs to command the spotlight”.
The new spring/summer collection features crafted tailored separates and jumpsuits while also unveiling its new Bridal styles.
Meanwhile, although only temporary, the store “will be a dynamic space, consistently updated with the brand’s highly anticipated new collections throughout the year”, including the Resort collection set to drop in March.
As the brand’s first-ever US store, its debut reflects “strong demand from American consumers”, where almost half of its sales originate, it noted.
Founder and creative director Nadine Merabi said of the SoHo location: “The vibrant energy of this city aligns perfectly with the [our] spirit. This physical space is not just about showcasing our creations, it’s a celebration of the craftsmanship and dedication behind each piece.”
CEO Blue Wilson added: “Following the tremendous success of Nadine Merabi stores in the UK, bringing the brand experience to life in New York is a significant milestone for us and demonstrates the strong connection we’ve built with our American customers. The dynamic New York fashion scene [allows us to] connect with our customers on a whole new level.”
Apart from taking the pop-up route as an introduction to physical retail, the brand’s retail activation plan for 2024 also includes “exclusive wholesale partnerships across the UK and US” throughout the year.
