NEET MDS 2024: 8000 Medical Aspirants Petition to Postpone Entrance Exam to July |

NEW DELHI: Aspirants across the country who will appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery have been demanding the postponement of NEET MDS exam along with some other students union. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), on January 20, released a notification announcing the revised exam date of the NEET MDS 2024.
According to the revised schedule, NEET MDS Exam 2024 will now be conducted on March 18 instead of February 9, 2024. Candidates can check the official notice on the official website of NBEMS at natboard.edu.in.
However, the aspirants want examination to be postponed to July 2024 and expressing their disappointment with the scheduled NEET MDS 2024 exam date, these candidates launched a social media campaign using hashtags – #postponeneetmds2024tilljuly, #Postponeneetmds2024toJULY, #NEETMDS2024POSTPONEMENT, and #POSTPONENEETMDS2024 on X (formerly Twitter).
Also, various candidates have signed a petition on an online platform where users can generate and sign petitions to advance different social causes urging the postponement of NEET MDS 2024 examination to July.
As of the latest update on the website, more than 2,780 users have have signed “PostponeNEETMDS2024toJuly” petition calling for the postponement. The online petition mentions, “Considering that counseling for both medical and dental students is intricately connected, aligning the schedule of NEET MDS 2024 with NEET PG Medical by postponing the former to July 2024 would not only provide much-needed clarity to the aspirants but also alleviate the emotional burden we are currently carrying.”
In their posts, NEET MDS aspirants have been tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on X to look into the matter.
A candidate on X posted, “RESPECTED SIR, REQUESTING THE POSTPONE OF NEET MDS 2024 FROM MARCH TO JULY SO AS TO MAINTAIN A PARITY BETWEEN BOTH NEET MDS AND NEET PG EXAMS. AND TO REDUCE THE TIME GAP BETWEEN EXAM AND COUNSELLING. HOPING FOR A FAIR CHANCE. THANK YOU.”

Another aspirant wrote, “Postpone NEET MDS 2024 – Please Sign the Petition if you haven’t done!”

Requesting to postpone the NEET MDS exam 2024, an X user wrote, “Kindly postpone neet mds to July. Give a fair chance to NEET MDS Aspirants.”

Posting on X, All India Students Dental Association/DENTODONTICS wrote, “5200+ people signed a petition to #PostponeNEETMDS2024toJULY. If any exam is conducted the government bodies make sure it’s favourable to all In total 25k aspirants if this lot is suffering then my lord @mansukhmandviya sir you need to look & resolve this we req”

More than 8000 aspirants across various platforms have signed a petition urging the government to defer the NEET MDS 2024 till July, said a post on X.
