Examination pattern for TNPSC Group 4 recruitment 2024
The examination scheme consists of an Objective Type test using the OMR method. The exam is a single paper at the S.S.L.C Standard level and is divided into two parts:
Part A: Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test
- Number of Questions: 100
- Maximum Marks: 150
- Duration: 3 hours
- Minimum Qualifying Marks for Selection (All Communities): 90
Part B: General Studies, Aptitude and Mental Ability Test
- General Studies: 75 questions
- Aptitude and Mental Ability Test: 25 questions
- Total Questions in Part B: 100
- Maximum Marks for Part B: 150
- Both Parts A and B Together: Total Questions 200, Maximum Marks 300
To qualify for the evaluation of Part B, candidates must secure a minimum of 40% (i.e., 60 Marks) in Part A. The total marks obtained in both Part A and Part B will be considered for ranking. It’s important to note that questions in Part A (Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test) will be in Tamil only, while questions in Part B will be set in both Tamil and English.

Step 3: To register, fill out the personal details like name, date of birth, mobile number and email address.
