Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2023: Bihar Police SI Main exam date announced, admit card out on Feb 6; check important instructions issued by BPSSC

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission has announced the exam date and issued important instructions to candidates appearing for the Bihar Police Sub Inspector recruitment 2023 Main Exam.
The Bihar Police SI Phase 2 recruitment mains exam is scheduled to take place on on February 25, 2024, Sunday. The exam will be held in two shifts; shift 1 commencing at 10AM and going on till 12 Noon, and second shift commencing at 02:30PM & going on till 04:30PM.
Candidates who are appearing for the exam will have to report to the venue at 08:30AM and 01PM for the first and second shift respectively, according to a notice released on the official website at bpssc.bih.nic.in.
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1275 posts of Police sub-inspectors. The Phase 1 exam was held on December 17, 2023 and results were declared on January 25, 2024. Now Phase 2 (Main) exam is going to commence on February 25, 2024.
According to the notice, the e-admit cards for all the eligible candidates will be provided on the official website of BPSSC on February 6, 2024. Candidates will be required to take a print of the same and present it at their respective exam halls. The notice states, “Candidates should download their e-admit card and take a printout. It is clarified that the admit card will not be sent by post. This is necessary for appearing in the examination at the allotted examination center.”
Along with the admit cards, candidates are also required to bring a photo-identity proof such as such as Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, PAN Card or Aadhar Card.
The notice states that candidates who are unable to download the e-admit card from the website can do so on February 20, 2024, from 10AM to 5PM, at Bihar Police Under Service Commission, 5, Harding Road, Patna 800001. The office at this location will also issue duplicate e-admit cards.
Important examination guidelines issued
In the same notice released on the website, the BPSSC also issued important examination guidelines for candidates. Key instructions include:

  • The roll number-wise list of examination centers will be accessible on the Commission’s website starting from 06.02.2024. It is crucial for candidates to verify the accuracy of their downloaded e-admit cards.
  • Candidates are required to preserve their admit cards post-examination, as they may be required by the appointing authority/commission during subsequent processes like the main written examination, physical efficiency test, record verification, and submission.
  • During the written examination, candidates must remain in their designated areas and match the details on the roll number sticker, which include their name, photograph, and roll number. Failure to comply may lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
  • Candidates are also informed that the first shift reporting time is 08:30AM, while the second shift is 13:00PM. Entry into the examination centre will be permitted until 09:30 AM for the first shift and 14:00 PM. for the second shift. No entry will be permitted after the specified times.
  • Use blue/black ball-point pen: To complete the answer sheet, use only Blue or Black Ball Point Pen; Gel pens or pencils are not permitted. Darkening the second copy separately is unnecessary. Failure to adhere may result in disqualification.
  • Avoid stray marks: Ensure no stray marks on the answer sheet, and refrain from using any other paper, calculating machine, or mobile phone, as it leads to disqualification.
  • Carefully fill necessary particulars: Fill in the required details meticulously; any changes are not allowed. It is essential to reproduce the paragraph in your own running handwriting in both Hindi and English on the OMR sheet. Missing signatures will result in disqualification.
