Britain’s all-time most wanted celebrity dinner guests revealed – do you agree?

SIR David Attenborough has been voted Britain’s all-time most wanted celebrity dinner guest in a poll.

The much-loved Blue Planet host, 97, received 18 per cent of the vote, just ahead of Princess Diana with 17 per cent.

Queen Elizabeth II was in joint fourth place with actor Robin Williams.

Chef Gordon Ramsay, 57, was the top choice to prepare the food while late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury featured as a favourite to be a guest and provide music.

More than a third believed the most important quality for a guest was good conversation.

But about a quarter would pick their mum, dad or partner over a celebrity guest, the survey for Findmypast found.

Attenborough has enjoyed a 70 year career which has seen him travel across the globe, filming the world and its wildlife, often in remote locations.

His most recent documentary was Planet Earth 3, which returned last year after a six-year hiatus.

Attenborough married wife Jane in 1950, before she passed away of a brain haemorrage in 1997.

The treasured historian has two children, a son called Robert and a daughter called Susan.
