Forget team Jacob or team Edward, this time we are team Kristen all the way.
Kristen Stewart is ready to push the envelope, and the 33-year-old actress did just that for her saucy Rolling Stone cover story.
The “Spencer” actress posed in nothing but her jock strap on the cover and offered herself up as a new kind of “sex symbol” in Hollywood.
Stewart, who shot to fame in the âTwilightâ movie franchise, came out as gay during her âSaturday Night Liveâ monologue in 2017.
âIf I got through the entire ‘Twilight’ series without ever doing a Rolling Stone cover, itâs because the boys were the sex symbols,” she said. “Now, I want to do the gayest fâking thing youâve ever seen in your life.”
“If I could grow a little mustache, if I could grow a fâking happy trail and unbutton my pants, I would,” she added. “Guys â Iâm sorry â but their fâking pubes are shoved in my face constantly, and Iâm like, âUmmmm, bring it in.ââ
Elsewhere in the interview with Rolling Stone, Stewart compared herself to other prominent gay figures in Hollywood amd explained how being queer has not derailed her career.
âAnd it goes: Jodie [Foster], me, boygenius,” she explained. “Iâm in the middle. Do you know what I mean? Jodie had such a hard time [as a gay actor], and Iâm not speaking for her â I am objectively analyzing the time and place in which she was being her, and that is not easy â I would say f-cking near-impossible if you wanted to continue doing what you love.”
“For me, it wasnât a problem,” she continued. “But thatâs probably because of the sort of space that I inhabit and the parts that Iâm attracted to and the filmmakers that are attracted to me and the audience that exists for those movies. Had I really wanted to carve out more commercial space and maintain that, I donât know if that wouldâve worked.â
Stewart famously met and fell in love with her co-star Robert Pattinson while filming the first movie in the hit vampire franchise, which was released in 2008. And while the couple dated for four years, Stewart was quick to voice her annoyance when asked about her former relationship.
âItâs like if someone kept asking you â I mean for literally decades â âBut senior year in high school?â Youâre like, âFâking A, man! I donât know!” she told the writer, Alex Morris.
Stewart, who is engaged to Dylan Meyer, also opened up about starting a family sooner rather than later.
“I donât know what my familyâs going to look like, but thereâs no fâking way that I donât start acquiring kids.âÂ
Stewart is currently promoting her new queer romance thriller, “Love Lies Bleeding” and explained that while she is attempting to defy all tropes of what a âstrong womanâ looks like, she feels blessed to be able to make the films that she has.
âThere was never a moment where I was like, âMan, what am I doing with the time that I have on this Earth?â I donât know what the fâk else Iâd be doing,” she said. “I love it.â
“Love Lies Bleeding” will be released on March 8.
