A ROAD has been shut down for hours following a major crash as cops, paramedics and firefighters were scrambled to the scene.
The B9077 at South Deeside Road in Aberdeen was sealed off earlier this afternoon following the smash.
Police, ambulance crews and the fire service raced to the scene shortly after 2.55pm.
The road remains closed and drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
The closure covers the junction with the B979 in the east and the Kincluny turn off to the west.
Scottish Fire confirmed they had sent two appliances to the scene however they left shortly after 4pm.
Photos show a number of police cars condoning off the scene.
A fire engine can also be seen parked beside the crash.
An ambulance can also be seen leaving the cordoned area with flashing blue lights.
Police Scotland posted on X: “The B9077 South Deeside Road is currently closed due to a crash near to Altries House, west of Aberdeen, reported shortly after 2.55pm.

“The road is currently closed between the junction with the B979 in the east and the Kincluny turn off to the west.
“Please avoid the area at this time.”
