AAI Junior Executive ATC applications begin today for 496 posts |

The Airports Authority of India will begin the online application process for 496 posts of Junior Executive- Air Traffic Control, today, i.e. November 1.
Eligible candidates can apply once the link has been activated by the Airports Authority, on their official website at www.aai.aero.

  • The online application round will begin on November 1, 2023 (today).
  • The deadline for online applications has been fixed for November 30, 2023.
  • The date of examination will be announced by the AAI in due course of time.

Educational qualification

  • Full-time regular Bachelors’ Degree of three years in Science (B.Sc) with Physics and Mathematics, OR
  • Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any discipline (Physics & Mathematics should be subjects in any one of the semesters curriculum).
  • Additionally, the candidate should have a basic proficiency in spoken and written English at the level of 10+2 standard (English should have been passed as a subject in either the 10th or 12th standard).

Age limit
The maximum age allowed is 27 years as of November 30, 2023.
Relaxation in age is given for the following criteria:
(a) SC/ST: There is a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
(b) OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): OBC candidates have a 3-year age relaxation, and it’s important to note that the vacancies reserved for OBC category are specifically for candidates belonging to the ‘Non-Creamy Layer,’ following Government of India guidelines.
(c) PwBD Candidates: PwBD candidates are eligible for a 10-year age relaxation when the post is identified as suitable for their relevant disability category, supported by a Certificate of Disability issued on or before November 30, 2023, by the Competent Authority.
(d) Regular AAI Employees: Candidates who are in regular service of AAI and have completed their probation on initial appointment can benefit from a maximum 10-year age relaxation.
Application fee
Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 1,000 in online mode only. After which the application will be accepted in the portal.
Exam pattern

  • A total of 120 questions will be asked, with each correct answer amounting to 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
  • The paper will be divided into two parts- A (60 marks), comprising of English language (20 marks), General reasoning (15), General aptitude/Numerical ability (15 marks), General awareness (10 marks)
  • And part B (60 marks), which will comprise of questions from basic physics and class 12 level mathematics.

Selection process

  • An objective type online examination (Computer-Based Test) will be administered for the position of Junior Executive (Air Traffic Control).
  • Following the online examination, there will be subsequent stages of Application Verification, Voice Test, Psychoactive Substances Test, Psychological Assessment Test, Medical Test, Background Verification.
