He’s worked in construction, travelled through space, and studied medicine, but adult entertainment’s biggest star Johnny Sins has most enjoyed playing the role of a Scarborough Beach local ahead of this weekend’s Sexpo Perth showcase.
In town to promote the “largest and longest-running adult exhibition in the world“ following a six-year hiatus, the memeable performer is loving his first dip into WA’s shores.
“I always wanted to come to Perth,” he said, labelling the landscapes as “beautiful”.
After attending Sydney and Melbourne’s shows in the past, the 45-year-old — whose real name is Steven Wolfe — says he leapt at the opportunity to headline the West Coast event.
Labelling similar sexual exhibitions as “porn conventions’ in the US or Europe, the industry veteran suggested it was pleasing to learn there was a focus on providing sexual education at Australian showcases.
For a man who may define business and pleasure as the same thing, he’s not against teaching the locals a thing or two while he’s in town for “work”.
“I might shoot a couple of scenes for the content feed,” he said.
But how does the biggest name in the game decide who he will be filming with?
“They need to already be a creator, and the only thing that’s really required is a current STD test, which we all take on a regular basis. So that’s about it.”
Sporting his signature bald head and trimmed beard look, the mild-mannered star can’t quite believe how internet memes and crowd content have made him an online sensation.
“I was surprised how viral and popular they got. Because I was just working during the day. I didn’t really think about it.
“And then they came up and really blew up but they really made me more of a mainstream internet online person rather than just a porn creator.
I mean, they really helped my career,” he admitted.
A jack of all trades through his videos, Sins suggested preparation for his role as a tradesman was genuine.
“My first job out of college I was in construction”, he joked.
Offering exclusive meets and greets from Friday to Sunday, attendees are encouraged to “confess your Sins” to the star by purchasing a Super VIP Pass.
Also in attendance will be other content creators, exhibitors and a host of entertainment.
