An aide to a prominent Maryland senator has left his job following allegations of personal sexual misconduct inside a Senate building. The office of Sen. Ben Cardin confirmed that “Aidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the U.S. Senate” and stated that they will have no further comment on the personnel matter. Maese-Czeropski’s departure comes after allegations that he was filmed engaging in sexual activity in the Hart Senate Office Building. The Daily Caller named Maese-Czeropski as one of the individuals involved in the incident. On his Linkedin account, Maese-Czeropski denied the accusations and expressed his intention to explore legal options. He had been a part of Cardin’s team for the past two years. Cardin announced in May that he planned to retire after a long career in politics.
