AILET 2024: AILET 2024: Counselling registration begins; Check important details here

The National Law University Delhi has started the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2024 counselling today, i.e December 15, 2023.
Candidates who qualified the AILET exam will be eligible to register for submitting their application online for the counselling round.
Important dates for AILET 2024 counselling
The AILET 2024 counselling schedule has been outlined with specific dates for various key activities.The registration process commenced today, December 15, beginning at 11 am, and will continue until December 22 for the payment of the registration fee.
The first list of provisionally selected candidates will be declared on December 29, followed by the deposit period for the provisional admission confirmation fee from December 29 to January 4, 2024.
Subsequently, the second list will be announced on January 10, with a deposit window from January 10 to 15. The third list is scheduled for declaration on January 23, accompanied by a deposit period from January 23 to 28. Lastly, the fourth list of provisionally selected candidates is set to be announced on May 15, with a corresponding fee deposit period extending from May 15 to 20.
Counselling process
NLU Delhi will invite candidates for online counselling registration based on the AILET merit list 2024, adhering to a category-wise selection process. The number of candidates called for counselling will be approximately three times the available seats in each category.
According to the notice, candidates will receive an invitation for counselling registration through email or SMS sent to their registered email address and phone number. For those in the general, Kashmiri migrants, and residents of Jammu and Kashmir categories, the AILET counselling registration fee is Rs 30,000, while candidates in the ST, SC, OBC, EWS, and PwD categories are required to deposit Rs 20,000.
Provisionally selected candidates will be required to pay the admission confirmation fee of Rs 50,000, to secure their seat.
According to NLU Delhi, applicants need to provide their BA LL.B (Hons), LL.B, or equivalent exam results, demonstrating an aggregate score of at least 50% (or 45% for SC/ST/Persons with Disability) by June 30, 2024. For those awaiting results, the submission is required during provisional admission.
The authority also stated that all candidates will be required to make their payments through online modes only. It is advisable not to wait until the last minute to avoid any payment-related problems.
