BLACK Friday isn’t until Friday, but we’ve just spotted a major discount on one of Apple’s most popular pair of earbuds.
The 2nd-generation Apple AirPods Pro have been reduced to £199: that’s the cheapest ever price we’ve seen.

Apple released the second-generation AirPods Pro back in 2022, and they are still the most recent addition to the brand’s Pro range.
When they were released, they cost £249, so we’re delighted to see they’re now a solid £50 cheaper now in the Black Friday sales madness.
You’ll find these slick, all-white, noise-cancelling beauties are available at a number of different stores at the new sale price, including Amazon, John Lewis and Currys.
While the standard, third-generation AirPods are cheaper at £169, they can’t match the pricier Pro in terms of capabilities.
The AirPods Pro come with ANC (auto noise-cancellation) tech that helps drown out any ambient noise while you’re listening to music.
If you’ve got a noisy commute, office or home to contend with, this is the perfect antidote to banish them all.
Admittedly, noise cancellation is a function that’s become increasingly common in earbuds, and you’ll find it in significantly cheaper options out there from other brands.
But the quality of ANC on offer in the AirPods Pro is still widely acknowledged as among the very best in the industry (this is Apple, after all).
Our tech editor Sean Keach put these buds to the test when they were first launched, and had nothing but positive things to say in his AirPods Pro review.
In Sean’s words: ‘They pair and work so seamlessly with an iPhone, it puts other earbuds to shame… A tour-de-force of in-ear audio.’
The AirPods Pro currently have a rating of 4.7 out of 5 on the Amazon site, alongside a long list of glowing reviews from happy shoppers.
One buyer writes: “The sound clarity is superb and euphonious in every sense; very comfortable in the ear. The build is robust, aesthetically pleasing… The best in-earbuds I’ve had to date.”
Another describes the 2nd-gen Pros as “fantastic as expected”, going on to remark that they offer “much longer battery life” than the entry-level AirPods.
Honestly, given the scant £30 price difference between the AirPods Pro and the non-noise-cancelling AirPods, we know which we’d go for.
