AISSEE 2024: Admission notice out for Sainik School Kunjpura and others; Check important details here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admission notice for the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) 2024.
The exam is expected to take place on December 16, 2023.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications in online mode till December 16, 5PM, by going to the official portal at exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/
The current admission round is for class 6 and class 9, across the 33 Sainik schools in the country.
Eligibility
Class 6 Admission Eligibility:
Candidates applying for Class 6 admission should be between 10 and 12 years old as of March 31, 2024. Admission is open to girls for Class 6, contingent on seat availability, with the age criteria identical to boys.
Class 9 Admission Eligibility:
For Class 9 admission, candidates should be between 13 and 15 years old as of March 31, 2024, and must have passed Class 8 from a recognized school at the time of admission. Girls are eligible for admission based on seat availability, with the age limit mirroring that of boys.
Application fee
The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS categories is Rs. 650, while for SC and ST categories, it is Rs. 500. Candidates are required to pay the examination fee solely through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) for All India Sainik School Admission Test 2024.
Step 2: Collect all required documents, including eligibility proofs, ID proof, address details, and basic information.
Step 3: Prepare scanned copies of necessary documents for the recruitment form, such as a passport-size photo, signature, and ID proof.
Step 4: Before submitting the application form, carefully review the preview to ensure accuracy in all provided information.
Step 5: If an application fee is required, make the necessary payment. Incomplete forms without the required fees will not be processed.
Step 6: After successful submission, take a printout of the final submitted form for your records.
Sainik Schools are English medium residential institutions affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). They play a crucial role in preparing cadets for entry into esteemed institutions such as the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and other training academies.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has granted approval for the establishment of 19 new Sainik Schools. Admission to Class 6 in these newly sanctioned schools for the academic year 2024-25 will be facilitated through the AISSEE 2024 process.
