Alanui continues to grow by broadening its product range. Besides the oversize, richly decorated jacquard cardigans in a folksy-bohemian style that constitute the core of its assortment, the Italian label owned by the New Guards Group (alongside Palm Angels, Opening Ceremony and Ambush, among others) has launched Alanui Finest, a line of high-end, minimalist knitwear essentials made in a snug, exclusive blend of cashmere and silk.

The line’s first men’s and women’s collection is perfectly aligned with the quiet luxury mood ubiquitous on the runways this autumn, and is designed to “transcend seasons and trends.” It consists of various knitwear essentials in neutral hues like grey, black, navy and caramel, made using a variety of knitting techniques, including rib knit. The collection comprises a sweater, a jacket-cardigan, a coat-bathrobe and a pair of tasselled trousers, ranging in price from €1,300 to €4,250. It also features accessories like hats, gloves and a wool scarf, priced between €350 and €1,050.

“With this new collection, we wanted to expand our assortment with impeccable attention to artisanal craftsmanship. We challenged ourselves, as well as our artisans, to explore new techniques, focusing on a selection of precious and unique yarns, stitches and fits to create couture-like knitted masterpieces,” said in a press release Carlotta Oddi, Alanui’s creative director, who co-founded the label in 2016 with her brother Nicolò.

Alanui Finest’s first collection, for the Fall/Winter 2023-24, will be followed by further drops in future seasons. It is already available on Alanui’s e-shop and at select multibrand retailers.

Alanui started out as a single-product label with a jacket-cardigan, and over the years has broadened the scope of its ready-to-wear range to cover all categories. It also introduced accessories, a children’s line, a home decoration line with throws, cushions and rugs, and an eyewear line, launched this summer with Californian brand Jacques Marie Mage.
