Interparfums, the French specialist in licensed fragrances, has appointed Alessandro Trotta as its new chief financial officer. He will be reporting directly to Philippe Santi, the group’s chief operating officer.
Trotta, a graduate of Bocconi University in Milan, began his career in the beauty sector in 2002 with Beauté Prestige International, initially serving as the financial director of the Italian subsidiary. He later moved to the Paris headquarters, assuming the role of group financial director.
In 2018, Trotta was appointed CFO of the Japanese cosmetics group Shiseido for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. In 2021, he joined the fragrance brand Byredo, which came under the ownership of the Catalan group Puig in May 2022, as director of operations, overseeing finance and operations.
Within Interparfums, Trotta will be responsible for steering the finance division for all companies within the group. His purview will include matters of accounting, consolidation, management control, internal control, and taxation.
For the first nine months of the 2023 fiscal year, Interparfums, boasting licenses such as MontBlanc, Jimmy Choo, and Coach in its portfolio, recorded a sales increase of 19% to 610.7 million euros. The company aims to reach a total turnover of 800 million euros for the entire fiscal year.
On November 22, Interparfums, which is also preparing for the launch of an in-house brand, will unveil its outlook for 2024.
