Trent Amoroso, P/OF, Woodside, senior

Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division player of the year. Batted .350 and had a slugging percentage of .537. As a pitcher, recorded a 1.95 ERA, struck out 45 and was 9-0. 

Charlie Bates, IF, Palo Alto, senior

The Stanford commit was the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division MVP. Hit .354 and had seven home runs. Stole 13 bases and led Palo Alto in RBIs with 22. 

Mikey Boyd, IF, Granada, junior

Was the best offensive player during Granada’s run to the NorCal Division I title. Hit .396, had four home runs and led the Livermore school in RBIs with 35. All-East Bay Athletic League first-team selection.

Jake Downing, IF, Serra, senior

The West Catholic Athletic League MVP, Downing hit .386 and totaled 27 RBIs. The senior is committed to play at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo next season. 

Carter Johnstone, IF, Los Gatos, senior

Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division first-team selection. Hit .400 and had 23 RBIs and four home runs. Committed to play at Cal State-Fullerton next season. 

Kole Laubach, P/IF, Valley Christian, junior

WCAL Pitcher of the Year. Pitched a perfect game in a regular-season matchup against St. Ignatius. Finished the year with a 0.97 ERA, to go along with 59 strikeouts. 

Nate Leffel, IF, College Park, senior

MVP of the Diablo Athletic League Foothill Division. He led College Park in batting average (.409), hits (36), and slugging percentage (.579). Tied for first in the DAL Foothill Division in RBIs with 24. 

Quinten Marsh, P/UTIL, Valley Christian, junior

A Stanford commit, Marsh led the Warriors in multiple ways. The all-WCAL first-team selection had a team-high 34 hits and a .378 batting average. On the mound, Marsh had 88 strikeouts and a 1.14 ERA.

RJ Meyn, P, De La Salle, senior

An all-EBAL first-team selection, Meyn gave De La Salle his best performances when the stakes were the highest. The Santa Clara commit threw eight no-hit innings in the NCS Division I championship game against Granada. He finished the year with a 0.56 ERA and 60 strikeouts. 

Ollie Obenour, IF/P, Leigh, senior

Obenour was named the Blossom Valley Athletic League Mt. Hamilton Division MVP. The Washington State commit hit .407 and slugged .582. On the mound, Obenour led Leigh in ERA at 2.08 and had 58 strikeouts. 

Jake Sekany, P, Granada, junior

Received first-team all-EBAL honors. Had an ERA of 1.85 and struck out 88 in 11 starts. Had 14 strikeouts in Granada’s 6-4 win against San Ramon Valley in the EBAL championship game. 

Will Siwinski, P, St. Ignatius, senior

Siwinski allowed just seven earned runs all season and was an all-WCAL first-team selection. Pitched a complete-game no-hitter against St. Mary’s-Berkeley. 

Makoa Sniffen, IF, Archbishop Mitty, senior

Sniffen came up big for the Monarchs in the playoffs, going 3 for 4 with four RBIs in a NorCal Division I regional first-round win against Granite Bay. Finished the year batting .363 with 26 RBIs. He received WCAL first-team honors.

Hank Tripaldi, IF, De La Salle, senior

Tripaldi was the Spartans’ most consistent offensive player. The San Diego State commit and EBAL first-team selection totaled four home runs, 11 stolen bases, 34 hits and 27 RBIs while leading De La Salle in batting average (.425) and slugging percentage (.763).

Parker Warner, P/UTIL, Granada, senior

A Stanford commit, the EBAL and Bay Area News Group player of the year had a 0.93 ERA and struck out 69 to lead Granada to its first North Coast Section and NorCal Division I titles. Also led the Matadors in on-base percentage (.530) and runs scored (36).

Ryan Williams, P, Heritage, senior

First-team all-Bay Valley Athletic League selection. Finished the season with a 1.28 ERA and had 43 strikeouts in 10 appearances. Had two one-hitters in nine starts. 

Second team

Alonzo Alvarez, IF, Heritage, junior

The BVAL MVP led the league in RBIs (28) and had a.530 slugging percentage. Ended the season as one of Heritage’s top defensive players, recording a fielding percentage of .939. 

Ian Armstrong, C, Serra, senior

WCAL first-team selection. A power-hitter, the Saint Mary’s commit led Serra in home runs (five) and RBIs (29). 

Liam Barrett, P/OF, Mountain View, senior

Received all-SCVAL De Anza Division first-team honors. Batted .356 and had five home runs, 17 extra-base hits and 35 RBIs. Helped lead Mountain View to a CCS Division IV title.  

Brandon Clizbe, C, Monte Vista, senior

EBAL offensive player of the year batted .455 and finished with 46 hits, 33 RBIs and nine stolen bases. Committed to play at New Mexico State next season.  

David Gonzales, OF, Acalanes, junior 

Diablo Athletic League first-team selection led Acalanes to a 23-4 record and two wins in the NCS Division I playoffs. Recorded 25 stolen bases and tied for first in the DAL with 24. 

Diego Deluna, P/IF, Pittsburg, junior

Deluna was awarded the BVAL Pitcher of the Year. Finished the season with a 1.62 ERA and 62 strikeouts. Helped Pittsburg win the BVAL tournament championship.

Brayden Jaksa, C/OF, Irvington, junior

Jaska was named the Mission Valley Athletic League MVP after posting an absurd slashline of .437/.560/.830. The Oregon commit had six home runs among his 15 extra-base hits, 12 stolen bases and 19 RBIs. 

Markos Lagios, OF, Piedmont, junior

West Alameda County Conference Foothill Division player of the year. Hit .358 and had six home runs, 13 stolen bases and 28 RBIs. Helped Piedmont reach the NCS and NorCal Division IV finals. 

Tatum Marsh, OF,  Valley Christian, senior

Like his younger brother Quinten, Marsh is also committed to play at Stanford. The older brother was the best offensive player for Valley Christian, leading the Warriors in on-base percentage (.508), RBIs (29), home runs (6) and extra-base hits (20). Received all-WCAL first-team honors. 

Ethan Williams, P,  Los Gatos, sophomore 

Even as a sophomore, Williams was the Wildcats’ ace. Had an ERA of 1.34 and totaled 55 strikeouts. An all-SCVAL De Anza Division first-team selection. 

Luka Pintar, P, Archbishop Mitty, senior

Garnered all-WCAL first-team honors. In two starts in the CCS Division I playoffs, Pintar had nine strikeouts and allowed nine hits to lead Mitty to its second section title in three years but first in the section’s top division since 2010.

Mason Pound, P/INF, Westmont senior

Pound was dominant during Westmont’s CCS Division II playoff run as he pitched 13 scoreless innings stretching across two games before finally giving up a run. Pound was awarded all-BVAL Mt. Hamilton Division first-team honors, totaling 73 strikeouts with a 1.45 ERA. 

Nico Rodriguez, IF, Archbishop Mitty, senior 

WCAL second-team selection made one big play after another every big play for the Monarchs during their CCS Division I title run. In three CCS games, Rodriguez went 6 for 7 with two RBIs, four runs and a steal. The Wichita State commit  led Mitty in batting average (.390) and steals (13).  

Tyler Spangler, IF, De La Salle, sophomore 

One of the Bay Area’s best defensive shortstops, Spangler was named to the all-EBAL first team. Led De La Salle in home runs with four and batted .364 as the Spartans reached the NCS Division I final and NorCal D-I semifinals. 

Jesus Vasquez, IF, James Logan, senior

Vasquez did it all for the Colts as he played shortstop and was the team’s closer. The MVAL first-team selection had a slashline of .468/.538/.607 to go along with 17 RBIs. Led Logan to an undefeated record in the MVAL and to the NCS Division I quarterfinals. 

Riley Winchell, IF, Granada, senior

Hit four home runs and had 34 RBIs while helping Granada capture the EBAL, NCS Division I and NorCal Division I championships. Received EBAL first-team honors.
