The Andhra Pradesh National Means cum Merit Scholarship (AP NMMS) 2023 result has been declared today, June 5, by The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Solan. The AP NMMS merit is available in the form of a PDF. Candidates can check the AP NMMS 2023 result scores by visiting the official website, bse.ap.gov.in. Selected students will receive a scholarship of Rs 12,000 per annum.The AP NMMS exam was held on December 3, 2023.

NMMS 2023: Qualifying Marks
Each state or union territory conducts its own examination to choose candidates for the NMMS. The eligibility test consists of two papers: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) paper. Candidates need to qualify both the papers.
SC & ST Categories: 32% each paper i.e., 29 Marks
OC, BC & PH Categories: 40% each paper i.e., 36 Marks
NMMS: What you should know
The NMMS, a part of the Central Sector Scheme, was launched in 2008. Its primary aim is to provide scholarships to bright students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, to prevent dropouts after the eighth grade while encouraging them to continue their education through secondary school. Annually, 100,000 new scholarships are awarded to eligible ninth-grade students, with the possibility of renewal for grades 10 to 12, allowing them to attend state government, government-aided, and local body schools. As of April 1, 2017, the scholarship amount was increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,000 per year.
