ANAS Sarwar’s ex-Labour MP dad has been slammed over a tweet branding 9/11 a “hoax”.
Mohammad Sarwar, 71, was branded “irresponsible” after his X account posted a controversial video about the 2001 terror atrocity.
It claims the plane attacks on New York’s Twin Towers and the Pentagon, in which almost 3,000 were killed, were a “huge deception”.
And it alleges the US Government did this “to extend imperial control at home and abroad”.
Mr Sarwar Sr was a Glasgow MP from 1997 to 2010 before returning to his native Pakistan, where he was Governor of Punjab.
Scottish Labour leader Anas, 40, has referred to him as “my hero”.

The Scots Tories said it was “appalling and irresponsible” for Mr Sarwar’s X account — which has 1.9million followers — “to lend credence to this offensive conspiracy theory”.
A spokesman added: “It’s all the more astonishing given he was a Labour MP under Tony Blair at the time of 9/11.”
The post was deleted after we alerted Labour.
Chiefs said: “9/11 was one of the most atrocious terrorist acts in history.
