APPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2023: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released a notification for the AP Group 2 Recruitment 2023 today, December 07. Interested candidates can check the important dates, vacancies and other recruitment details here or on the official website at psc.ap.gov.in.
As per the schedule, the application process will be open from December 21, 2023, to January 10, 2024 till 11:59 PM.The Commission aims to fill a total of 897 vacancies through this recruitment drive, out of which 331 are for Executive posts and the remaining 566 are for Non-Executive posts. The Non-executive posts include Assistant Section Officers, Senior Auditors, Senior Accountants, Junior Accountants, and Junior Assistants in the State Secretariat.

“The breakup of vacancies, the scale of pay, age, community, educational qualifications and other information with instructions will be available on the Commission’s website psc.ap.gov.in before 21/12/2023,” reads the official webnote.
The Screening Test (Preliminary examination) will be held on February 25, 2024. Candidates shortlisted in the Prelims will have to appear in the Main examination. The date of the Main Examination will be announced later.

The notice further reads, “In respect of the Screening Test, the objective type examination will be held in offline mode (OMR based). The Main Examination would be in objective type and questions are to be answered in Offline mode (OMR based) or Computer Based Test (CBT) as may be decided by the Commission at an appropriate time.”
Exam Pattern
Group 2 Prelims Exam: The Prelims will have one paper for General Studies & Mental Ability. It will consist of 150 questions for a total of 150 marks. Candidates will get a total of 150 minutes to complete the exam.
Group 2 Main Exam: The Mains will have two papers: Paper-I (Social History of Andhra Pradesh i.e., the history of Social
and Cultural Movements in Andhra Pradesh and General overview of the Indian Constitution) and Paper-II (Indian & AP Economy. and Science and Technology). There will be a total of 300 questions for 300 marks.
