Australian rock band Trophy Eyes has seriously injured a fan after pulling a dangerous manoeuvre during a show.
Bird Piche suffered a major spinal cord injury when she attended the popular band’s concert in Buffalo, New York on April 30.
The young fan was standing in the mosh pit when they began their set, and singer John Floreani stage-dived.
In the process, Bird was knocked to the ground.
A Reddit user posted they had attended the concert, and saw Bird go down after the stage dive.
“I was at the Buffalo show last night. Trophy Eyes were two minutes into the first song of their set, and the show was abruptly halted.
“A girl in the middle of the group ended up getting seriously injured after this stage dive.
“Really hoping for the best possible outcome for the fan.”

Another onlooker posted, “My partner and I were directly beside her. As soon as we heard her say she was scared and couldn’t move, we knew it wasn’t good. John was clearly devastated. I am curious how this will affect the rest of the tour and if he’ll come out with a statement about it.”
After receiving permission from Bird’s family, the band recently posted a statement on Twitter.
“This situation has shaken us all to our core, and we ask for patience while we look to help Bird navigate this difficult time,” the band wrote.
“Please, keep Bird in your thoughts. We remain in close contact with them and will expand on this as new news arrives.”
The band also added, “With the blessing of their family, we are now able to say how truly heartbroken we are to be here now.
“Our friend, Bird, is now in recovery, but they still have a long road ahead of them.”
The Australian group from Newcastle also encouraged fans and onlookers to donate to Bird GoFundMe page.
A fundraiser has been put together by friends and family of Bird.
“Bird Piché suffered a catastrophic spinal cord injury while attending a concert on April 30th and underwent an extensive surgery,” the GoFundMe organiser Stephanie wrote.
“It is still too early to know what her prognosis is but after leaving the hospital she will need to go to a rehab facility.
“She will obviously not be able to work during this time.
“The funds will be used for medical bills and anything she may need to function in life because of the accident.”
So far, the GoFundMe page has raised $39,855 USD of the $100,000 USD goal.
Trophy Eyes has donated $5,000.
