Three young men are dead, and two more are fighting for life after a head-on collision in Perth.
A blue Kia Stinger and white Audi A3 sedan allegedly collided at speed on Sixty Eight Road in Baldivis about 5.10pm on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old male driver of the Audi and two male passengers — aged 24 and 21 — all received critical injuries and died at the scene.
At least five people were still trapped when emergency responders arrived at the scene.
Acting Inspector Brendon Barwick said the jaws of life were used to cut away the roof of one of the cars to free a trapped passenger who survived the crash.
“It’s always a miracle when someone survives that sort of crash. It’s quite confronting,” he told The West.
“Hopefully, they pull through.”
Aerial vision of the crash scene showed when a dozen firefighters worked over the car to execute the challenging extraction.
Inspector Barwick said the two men rescued from the wreck are the two that remain in a critical condition in hospital.

It is understood one was a 21-year-old male — possibly the only survivor on board the Audi.
One was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital, and the other was taken by car to Rockingham General Hospital.
The 44-year-old female driver of the Kia Stinger received minor injuries.
Major Crash investigators are examining the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online.
