Barbie movie fever hits Perth with pink food and plastic fantastic party events

Perth has been tickled-pink by the highly anticipated release of the Barbie movie with everything from pink burgers, doll-icious cocktails and plastic fantastic events to look forward to.

In celebration of the new movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, Grill’d has partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures and Mattel to launch a limited edition Barbie-themed burger — and it looks like it came straight out of Barbie’s Dreamhouse kitchen.

Available at all Grill’d restaurants from Tuesday, the show-stopping Barbie Dreamburger features a juicy grass-fed beef patty topped with cute pink mayo, tasty cheese, charred pineapple, avocado, tomato, lettuce, Spanish onion and a splash of tomato sauce.

Adding an extra touch of sparkle, the Dreamburger also comes with a fabulous pink panini bun and the meal deal comes in an adorable, pink Barbie-themed box. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.

The Aviary rooftop bar will also be serving Barbie-inspired food at its Plastic Fantastic Brunch later this month. Guests can look forward to indulging in pink pancakes, acai bowls, and fried chicken waffles with pink maple and Barbie-themed cocktails.

For anyone who had aerobics Barbie growing up, The Jungle Body Tribe, which gets people sweating with their dance workouts in the dark to popular beats, is hosting a Barbie and Beats party to get people moving. Attendees are invited to wear pink and can expect a live DJ, glitter bar, and Barbie prizes.

For those who really want to party, venues in Northbridge are also dusting off their pink sequin jackets and disco balls, with a number of upcoming events to let out your inner doll and indulge your love of glitter just around the corner, including The Court’s Barbies Vs Kens Plastic Poptastic Party and Vanity’s Dreamhouse Club Tour at The Rechabite.
