The Swifties are one powerful fanbase.
Will Compton and Taylor Lewan of the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast said Taylor Swift’s fans “infiltrated our cyber security system” after a video from their recent interview with Travis Kelce leaked online before its release at midnight on Tuesday.
The internet was buzzing when a 10-minute clip of Kelce gushing over the “Cruel Summer” singer — whom he has been dating since last summer — was posted by a Swift fan account on X.
“Absolutely no clue how this got leaked,” Compton, a former NFL linebacker, said in a reply post on X, which included the leaked video. “We are working to get the episode up shortly but the Swifties have infiltrated our cyber security system.”
The fan account then replied with: “Help I’m so sorry it was just on YouTube for like 6 hours so I thought we got a treat.”
Compton, who was a good sport about it, said, “Lol it makes the release even better!”
According to the fan account, the latest installment of “Bussin’ With The Boys” featuring Kelce was posted for a few hours before it was removed.
However, Lewan and Compton didn’t seem concerned about the mishap.
“I might have to become a Swiftie with the support this podcast episode with Travis is getting,” Compton wrote in another post on X.
Kelce, who joined Swift on stage during her Eras Tour concert in London on Sunday, explained what life is like dating the pop megastar.
“That’s been the craziest, definitely the pulling up to the house,” Kelce said, referring to the singer’s fans showing up to his home in Kansas City.
“… Her fans have turned into Chiefs fans. I’ve had fun with just about every aspect of it, it’s just when you’re at home you want privacy and you don’t always get that.”
The three-time Super Bowl champ has been open about navigating the extra attention his and Swift’s high-profile relationship brings.
Last fall, Kelce added a $6 million Kansas City property to his real estate portfolio that offered more privacy after a slew of fan encounters.
“She’s very self-aware, but at the same time… She understands situations like that and I think that’s why I really started to really fall for her was how genuine she is around friends [and] family,” Kelce said. “It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she just keeps it so chill and so cool and it’s something I can admire for sure.
“… The first game she came to with the Bears [in September 2023], I was like I can set you up with everything and she just walked in. She was like I just want to be around the family and friends and experience this with everybody and I was like she got points for that. I was like damn she’s in the madness and wants to support me. She really won me over with that one.”
