Beloved cat Ralph reunited with family after being allegedly snatched and dumped in Myaree

A beloved cat has been reunited with his family after he was allegedly snatched and went missing for more than a month.

It had been 33 days since Wayne England and his family had seen their rescue cat Ralph after what he describes as a shocking alleged theft in Yanchep before being dumped more than an hour away in a Myaree industrial area.

The incident had led to an outpouring of support online and help from Myaree businesses in searching for Ralph after the family set up a Facebook page.

Mr England had started to believe there was a slim chance of getting Ralph back until he was found one kilometre from where he was allegedly dumped.

“I received a text from a Myaree local named Kellie that had a cat in her front yard that would not stop meowing and looked similar to Ralph,” he said.

“When you’ve been spending 24 hours a day for 33 days straight doing everything you can to find your cat, your first thought is to not get your hopes up but in this case, there was way too much of a likeness in his markings for it not to be a sure thing.
