Ben Harvey: Talkshow host and Ashes whinger Piers Morgan has no right to claim the moral highground

Up Late host Ben Harvey has bowled a head-hunting bouncer at Ashes whinger Piers Morgan after the British personality accused the Australian cricket team of trashing the spirit of sportsmanship by stumping England’s Jonny Bairstow when he strayed from his crease.

And Harvey has delivered the British Prime Minister a withering wakeup call, telling wicket-whiner Rishi Sunak to stop fretting about the cricket score and start fixing the “basket case” of a country that passes for modern England.

The latest episode of Up Late with Ben Harvey focuses on the fallout from the “controversial” play that got everyone talking – Bairstow’s stumping by Australia’s Alex Carey on the final day at Lords.

Former players, politicians and experts have all weighed in, with many accusing Bairstow and England of breathtaking hypocrisy.

Harvey goes one acerbic step further when explaining why Morgan, a former editor of the News of the World and the Daily Mirror, is hypocrite-in-chief for complaining about the dismissal.
