Bihar BEd CET 2024 notification out, registration begins on May 3; check important dates, eligibility, exam pattern and more

NEW DELHI: The Lalit Narayan Mithila University has released a notification for the Bihar B.Ed. Combined Entrance Test 2024. Interested candidates can check the eligibility and other important details related to B.Ed. CET 2024 here or on the official website at biharcetbed.Inmu.in.
The Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga is conducting the Bihar Common Entrance Test (CET) for B.Ed.and Shiksha Shastri Programmes for the fifth consecutive year. The online application process for Bihar CET BEd 2024 will be open from May 3rd to May 26th, 2024. Candidates who miss the regular deadline can apply with a late fee until June 2nd, 2024. The entrance exam will be held on June 25th, 2024. Admit cards for the exam will be available for download from June 17th, 2024 onwards.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the Two-year B.Ed. Programme (CET-B.Ed.) entrance exam, you must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any stream with at least 50% marks.
  • A Master’s Degree in Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, or Commerce with at least 50% marks.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics with at least 55% marks.
  • An equivalent qualification to the ones mentioned above.

Exam Pattern

The CET-B.Ed.-2024 exam will be a two-hour test consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions. Each question will offer four answer options, from which you must select the most appropriate one. To mark your answers, a separate OMR sheet will be provided along with the question booklet. Use a blue or black ballpoint pen only when marking your responses on the OMR sheet. It’s important to note that there is no penalty for incorrect answers; only correct responses will earn you a score of 1 mark each. The maximum possible score for the entire exam is 120 marks.

Qualifying Marks

To be eligible for further consideration, candidates must secure the following minimum marks:

  • Unreserved Category: 35% (or 42 marks).
  • Reserved Categories (SC, ST, BC, EBC, WBC, EWS, Divyaang): 30% (or 36 marks).

Application Fee

The application fee varies depending on the candidate category:

  • General/Unreserved: Rs. 1000
  • Differently-abled/EBC/BC/Women/EWS: Rs. 750
  • SC/ST: Rs. 500
