Billy Ray Cyrus is getting divorced again.
The country singer, 62, filed for divorce in May from his wife, Australian musician Johanna “Firerose” Hodges, 34, after less than one year of marriage, TMZ reported on Tuesday.
In the court docs, Cyrus reportedly listed the former couple’s separation date as May 22, 2024.
He cited irreconcilable differences and “inappropriate marital conduct” as the reasons for the split, per TMZ.
Cyrus is also reportedly asking the court for an annulment and is claiming the marriage to Firerose was obtained by fraud.
According to TMZ, Cyrus will pay Firerose $5,000 per month so she can get suitable housing in Tennessee for a period of 90 days, or until the divorce is finalized.
Cyrus and Firerose got married in October 2023 one year after getting engaged.
“10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony,” the pair announced in a joint Instagram post at the time.
“It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.”
Firerose wore a white, long-sleeved gown featuring floral lace detailing on the wedding date, while Cyrus rocked a classic black tuxedo.
In August 2021, Firerose revealed on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” that she met Cyrus on the set of “Hannah Montana” 10 years prior.
“Billy Ray’s been a phenomenal supporter of my music ever since. He’s just really believed in me and continued to tell me to pursue my dreams no matter what and not give up. The music industry is not easy, but he’s been just a really, really incredible support [sic],” she also said.
The singers got together after Cyrus split from his longtime wife, Tish Cyrus.
Tish, 57, divorced the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer in April 2022 after being together for nearly 30 years, and then she tied the knot with “Prison Break” actor Dominic Purcell.
Tish and Billy Ray announced their split in a joint statement to People in April 2022.
“It is after 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways — not with sadness, but with love in our hearts. We have grown up together, raised a family we can be so proud of, and it is now time to create our own paths. We will always be family and look forward to a continued and loving shared experience as friends and parents. We have not come to this decision lightly or quickly but with so much going on in the world, we wanted to provide some clarity and closure, so we can remain focused on what is important. With Love and Hope… Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus.”
The exes have five children: Noah, 24, Braison, 30, Miley, 31, Trace, 35, and Brandi, 37.
