A BODY has been found in the hunt for a missing mum who disappeared from a psychiatric unit.
Anne MacDonald was last seen at Woodland View Hospital in Irvine five days ago on Monday, June 3.

Cops launched a frantic search to find the 55-year-old and appealed to the public for their help.
Sadly, officers confirmed a body was found in a woodland area near to the Eglington Interchange in the Ayrshire town at around 11am today.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however Anne’s shattered family have been informed.
There is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances relating to the death.
Cops will submit a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Saturday, 8 June, 2024, the body of a woman was found in woodland near to the Eglington Interchange, Irvine.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Anne MacDonald, who had been reported missing from Irvine, have been informed.
“There is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”

Cops were called to the scene amid concerns for a person early this morning.
Emergency services raced to the call where a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is currently being treated as “unexplained”.
