Bradley Cooper Has a New Favorite Hat

Lately, Bradley Cooper has been on a streetwear journey. The actor and filmmaker—who recently snagged his twelfth Oscar nomination for his work across the Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro—has been experimenting with menswear more than ever before, with an increasingly swaggy cache of luxury grails and hard-to-find sneakers. And like anyone who has ever fallen in love with an item of clothing might recognize, when Cooper digs something, he’s keeping it firmly in his wardrobe rotation.

Last week, the actor touched down at Paris Men’s Fashion Week to attend the Louis Vuitton runway show, where he sat front row next to LVMH boss Bernard Arnault. (Just to keep in mind: Cooper has been an ambassador for Louis Vuitton watches since 2022, and has starred in two Damien Chazelle-directed ad spots for the brand’s watchmaking outpost.) And though Pharrell’s latest Western-inspired presentation was full of wide-brimmed cowboy hats, Cooper’s token from the trip appears to be a bulbous, denim-hued wool beanie from the previous spring collection. He first wore the $565 knit hat—patchworked to evoke LV’s pixelated Damier check, with the Maison’s logo embroidered in pearl beads on its turned-up cuff—in Paris the morning of the show, pairing it with plum-hued slacks and his go-to black wool peacoat. (For the show itself, Cooper slipped into something more ceremonial: a pearly-buttoned, double-breasted officer’s coat.)

Back in New York, the Oscar nominee wore the LV beanie again two days later with his same nondescript peacoat and black cashmere lounge pants from his girlfriend Gigi Hadid’s knitwear brand, Guest in Residence. Earlier this week, he bundled up for a New York stroll in a Moncler puffer, slouchy teal trousers, and his favorite Travis Scott Air Jordans, with the trusty LV beanie perched atop his head. And yesterday, when Cooper and Hadid were spotted together—
holding hands!—in London, the beanie was there, too.
