The Aussie brand behind a coffee scrub beloved by millions for sloughing away dead skin and giving you a glowing complexion has launched a new “game-changing” facial oil that shoppers are calling a “saviour”.
Frank Body’s new Super Ceramide Barrier Oil costs just $30, but it boasts a slew of skin-boosting ingredients designed to protect and improve your skin barrier.
Ingredients listed in the “glowy” buy include Australian native products such as prickly pear oil, kakadu plum extract and squalane.

But the hero inclusion is ceramides.
Ceramides are found in the outer layer of your skin, and they bind cells together to reduce water loss and keep the skin plump and hydrated.
The $30 oil is suitable for all skin types, and it is described on the Frank Body website as your “daily defence against dryness, breakouts, and skin sensitivity”.
“An impaired barrier is especially common in winter, with cold days and artificial heating leading to dryness, redness and irritation,” the Frank Body founders explain.
“Even those with an oily skin type can suffer in the form of extra breakouts.”
This oil will help to fight these breakouts and additional dryness, redness and irritation – leaving behind a glowing complexion in its wake.
Those who have tried the Super Ceramide Barrier Oil have left glowing reviews.
While you might think it’s heavy and would leave an oily residue on your face, many have said that it’s “surprisingly lightweight” and leaves your skin “feeling so smooth”.
“No more redness. Great for coming into winter, when skin feels tight and flaky. Calms and soothes,” one reviewer wrote of the oil.
“It’s making my skin very glowy and only feels oily for minimal time before fully absorbing into my skin. Even after a day of work, my skin still feels hydrated. The oil has taken away dry patches and controlled eczema outbreaks,” another added.
To use the oil, Frank Body recommends you squeeze a few drops into your hands and massage it onto dry skin either in the morning or at night.
“We recommend you use it after serums and before moisturiser,” Frank Body said.
It should also always be used in conjunction with SPF, if you’re using it in the day.
Frank Body was famously established after one of the founder’s partners landed on the idea that coffee was a fantastic exfoliator.
Bree Johnson’s partner Steve Rowley was working in a café when some women went in asking for coffee granules which they wanted to use as a body exfoliant.
Describing this as their “eureka moment”, Bree and fellow co-founder Jess Hatzis launched Frank Body with its revolutionary coffee scrub – which has proven to be a bestseller ever since.
Frank Body has since gone on to launch a range of skincare products, including body washes, glycolic scrubs and moisturisers.
