Brisbane gun Josh Dunkley meets up with NBA superstar Steph Curry

Brisbane midfielder Josh Dunkley will return home with a piece of sporting memorabilia after meeting up with NBA superstar Steph Curry.

Ahead of the Golden State Warriors’ blockbuster clash with the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night, Curry took time out from his famous pre-game warm-up to share a chat with Dunkley.

The pair exchanged words and then presented each other with a signed guernsey from their respective teams.

Dunkley, a mad NBA fan, couldn’t hide the delight on his face in a series of photos shared on his social media.

The Warriors also tweeted a short clip of the meeting with the caption, “Game meets game.”

It’s not the first time Curry has been introduced to Australian Rules football.

Back in 2015, Curry enjoy a kick-to-kick with some (now former) Fremantle players including dual Brownlow medallist Lachie Neale and Hayden Crozier.

Dunkley was treated to a spectacular game on the court with the Warriors edging the Celtics 132-126 in overtime.

Curry top scored with 33 points, including six three-pointers, to help seal the upset win.

The Warriors are in 11th place in the Western Conference, while the Celtics are sitting pretty atop the East.

Dunkley, meanwhile, is set to return to Brisbane in time for Christmas.

He recently posted a photo with partner Tippah Dwan about his excitement for spending the holiday period together in Queensland.

Dwan, a Super Netball star, recently completed a move to the Queensland Firebirds after a two-year stint with the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

The move reunites the couple in the same state after years of doing long distance.
