Whether you know him as Agent Smith from The Matrix franchise, or Elrond from Lord of the Rings, Hugo Weaving is a bona fide Aussie screen icon, and he’ll be the star attraction when CinefestOZ returns to WA’s South-West next month.
The Sunday Times can exclusively reveal Weaving will attend the festival in person to promote his new film, The Rooster, which is one of four movies vying for Cinefest’s $100,000 award, the nation’s richest film prize.
