New Delhi: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy was stabbed while campaigning in Telangana’s Siddipet district Monday. His condition is said to be stable.
Siddipet Commissioner N. Swetha said the attack took place in the Surampally village of Daulatabad mandal. “He has been shifted to Gajwel. The alleged accused is in custody, and we are investigating the matter,” Swetha added.

Reddy, who was reportedly walking towards a pastor’s home while campaigning for the upcoming assembly election in the state, was accosted by a man who initially looked like he wanted to shake the politician’s hand, but soon allegedly took out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach.
The alleged attacker was caught and reportedly beaten by BRS workers present at the site.
Reddy is the BRS candidate from the Dubbak assembly seat for the upcoming state polls.
