The Burberry Rose will take over spaces in China’s key shopping city, merging the brand’s “forward-thinking vision with its rich heritage, bringing modern British luxury to life in new and innovative ways”.
“Immersive experiences, installations and events unfold across the streets, showcasing the brand’s signatures, such as seasonal check in knight blue, rose print, and the newly refreshed Equestrian Knight Design,” we’re told.
There will also be a Petal Maze installation inspired by the English rose that’s a key motif explored throughout Daniel Lee’s first collection. It’s being brought to life using handcrafted sculpted shapes such as petals, stems and leaves, with each element showcasing Burberry’s latest Winter 2023 collection.
And as in previous Streets stops (London and Seoul), the Norman’s café pop-up is included mixing distinctive elements from Burberry with a selection of “elevated café classics” being served.
Burberry symbols will be seen in multiple locations, including Equestrian Knight flags flying on Panyu Road; posters of the Winter 2023 campaign on bus stops and billboards; and buses running through the city centre will be wrapped in Daniel Lee’s rose print.
The Shanghai event runs until the end of the year.
