The job was not finished.
After a rough Thursday night where Caitlin Clark only scored seven points in the Indiana Fever’s 91-84 win against the Atlanta Dream, she was quickly back on the hardwood getting more reps in.
Over the span of 34 minutes during the game, Clark struggled to get anything going, shooting just 3-for-11 from the field and 1 of 6 from 3-point land.
So, after the game, Clark was seen working on her jumper on the Gainbridge Fieldhouse court, as captured by Fox 59.
Clark had started the night slowly, missing her first three shots in the first quarter.
The No. 1 overall pick eventually connected from downtown with four minutes remaining in the frame, though the 27-foot jumper would not change things for Clark as she did not hit another trey for the rest of the night.
She also had more turnovers (seven) than assists (six).
It’s now been two rough games in a row for the Iowa product after she struggled against the Connecticut Sun on Monday.
She scored just 10 points on 3-for-8 shooting, as the Fever lost that game, 72-89.
For the season, she’s now shooting 36.7 percent from the field and 32.17 from beyond the arc.
Those pale in comparison to her college numbers, where she hit 45.5 percent of her field goals and 37.8 percent of her 3 balls this past season for the Hawkeyes.
Despite Clark’s shooting slump, the Fever won three of their last five games to improve to 4-10.
She’ll now get a chance to bounce back on Sunday against the Chicago Sky, the first time Clark is facing them after she was fouled hard by Chennedy Carter at the start of June.
