Whether it was making contestants feel comfortable on Great Australian Bake Off, knocking people’s socks off at comedy festivals, fashioning a crazy headdress, or buzzing in with a quick retort on Would I Lie To You? or Have You Been Paying Attention?, the NZ-born performer made it all look so easy.

Some of Wilson’s funniest comedy came via her social media accounts — especially during lockdown, when she entertained her followers by fashioning elaborate headdresses from household objects.

One of her fabulous creations was immortalised this year by artist Andrea Huelin, whose painting won the prestigious Packing Room Prize at this year’s Archibald art awards.
