Cape Town Spurs have added a much-needed boost to their troubled goalkeeping department that has been leaking goals so far this season.

On Thursday, Spurs announced the arrival of former Mpumalanga Black Aces ‘keeper Thembalethu Moses as their new goalkeeper coach.
Moses is an experienced goalkeeper coach having worked with a number of local clubs since his retirement from football.

He has also had stints with different national teams, especially in the junior ranks to impart his goalkeeping knowledge.
Moses will now work closely with Ernst Middendorp in trying to rescue Spurs’ ship from sinking further.

CAPE TOWN SPURS ARE PSL’S WORST DEFENDING TEAM
Thirteen league games into the season, Spurs are currently the worst defending team in the league with 27 goals conceded thus far.

Furthermore, Middendorp’s side has lost 12 of their first 13 league games in the DStv Premiership – a worst record by any team at this stage of the campaign.

And Moses will be tasked with bringing about stability in that goalkeeping department for the next 17 league games.
