LOS ANGELES — Two men were hurt when their Tesla fell from the Riverside Drive overpass onto the 134 Freeway near Griffith Park and burst into flames late Sunday night.
The crash was reported just before 11 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.
The vehicle was a Tesla electric car, said a photographer at the scene.
The car had fallen from the overpass, struck the concrete freeway divider and burst into flames, Humphrey said.

A 65-year-old man and a 60-year-old man managed to get out of the sedan and were taken to a regional trauma center by ambulance, he said.
Firefighters remained at the scene an extended time putting out the stubborn flames, Humphrey said.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 11:50 p.m. shutting down the HOV lane and lanes 1, 2 and 3 of the eastbound Ventura Freeway at Riverside Drive.
The lanes were reopened to traffic around 4:25 a.m. Monday.
