Cardinals quarterback, Kyler Murray took to TikTok to share an update on his progress after the ACL tear last December that ended his season.
Murray, who is on the PUP list, shared the video of himself performing dumbbell squats, and provided in the captions details of where he stands physically and mentally.
“You learn a lot about yourself in these types of moments,” Murray wrote. “To those of you who ride with me, support me, speak up for me, I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. I won’t let us down … Soon.”
Murray made it clear that his passion for the game has not let up since his injury.
There has been speculation that the Cardinals could sit Murray for the season as they seem to be intent on tanking this season.
His rehabilitation has allowed him to find a deeper appreciation for the game that’s given him so much.
“I’ve never missed the game like this,” he wrote. “I’m itching to get back.”
Murray was the first overall pick by the Cardinals in 2019 NFL Draft, after finishing his collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma.
Even with a long list of credentials, Murray stated he has never faced an injury of this caliber.

“I tore my ACL 8 months ago,” Murray wrote. “This is the only major injury I’ve had.”
Murray has made astounding progress through his injury, but Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said in August that the quarterback will “get out there when he’s ready to go”.
However, there has been little to no news from the team in regards to when they anticipate Murray will see the field again.

The Cardinals are 0-2 with Murray, falling short against the he Washington Commanders and then blowing a 21-point lead at home in Week 2 against the Giants.
Being without Murray has given unprecedented challenge for Arizona’s offense.
Joshua Dobbs has stepped in and tallied 360 passing yards this season.
Complicating Murray’s future is that the Cardinals could be in position to draft reigning Heisman Trophy winner and USC quarterback Caleb Williams if this season goes as poorly as expected.
