NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not collaborated with any third-party publisher to prepare additional practice papers for Class 10 and Class 12. The board has observed that some private publishers’ websites are asking students and schools to download the practice papers from their websites. Therefore, the board has asked students to not believe in such claims.
As per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommendations, the CBSE had initiated Competency-Focused Education and Assessment in its affiliated schools and has recently published practice papers in all major subjects of Class 10 and Class 12.
The CBSE Class 10, 12 practice papers have been developed to facilitate the students in practicing and solving more application-based questions of higher-order thinking skills and amplify conceptual understanding of topics.
“However it has come to the notice of the board that schools and students are being asked to access the CBSE practice papers from certain private publisher’s sites. The public is advised not to be misled by any claims and promotions,” reads a public alert issued by the board.
The board has clarified that practice papers are available on the official CBSE website at cbseacademic.nic.in and students can download them free of charge.
CBSE is scheduled to conduct the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2024 from February 15. These exams will be held in a span of 55 days and are expected to conclude on April 10.
