CBSE Practical Examinations 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued guidelines for the upcoming Practical Examinations, Internal Assessments, and Project Assessments for the academic session 2023-24, scheduled to commence on January 1, 2024.
Students and parents should verify that their subjects are accurately reflected in the list of candidates submitted by the schools.Students need to be aware of the syllabus and subjects for which practical examinations are scheduled.
Students are reminded to appear for the practical exams according to the provided schedule, as no second chances will be provided by the Board. Students or parents are advised to contact their respective schools for clarification if they encounter any issues or have queries.
Schools should complete the syllabus for Practical Examinations on time. Additionally, they must make necessary arrangements, including preparing and stocking laboratories and identifying Internal Examiners well in advance.
It is the responsibility of schools to inform all students and parents about the date sheet for Practical Examinations. Schools must cross-verify the List of Candidates (LOC) appearing for the practical exams from the online system to ensure accuracy in subjects and student categories (regular/compartment/improvement).
To avoid any last-minute issues, schools should confirm the receipt of a sufficient number of Practical answer books before the actual conduct of practical examinations. The marks awarded in practical exams must align with the correct maximum marks, following the circular of mark bifurcation.
Regional Offices are responsible for promptly sharing the guidelines for conducting Practical Examinations with schools upon release by the CBSE. They must ensure that Practical Examinations are completed within the notified schedule, and marks are uploaded on time.
External examiners should be appointed in all schools before the commencement of Practical examinations, wherever applicable. Regional Offices are also tasked with ensuring the timely delivery of Practical Answer Books to schools before the commencement of Practical Examinations.
All stakeholders, including schools, students, parents, and Regional Offices, are urged to adhere to these guidelines to ensure the smooth and timely conduct of Practical Examinations for the academic session 2023-24.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has scheduled the theory examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 to take place from February 15 to April 2, 2024. To ensure uniformity, all examinations are set to commence at 10:30 AM (IST).
The Class 10th main exams are set to kick off on February 19, 2024, starting with Sanskrit, followed by Hindi on February 21, 2024. English is scheduled for February 26, 2024, and Science on March 2, 2024. On March 4, 2024, Home Science will be conducted, followed by Social Science on March 7, 2024. The last two exams are Mathematics on March 11, 2024, and Information Technology on March 13, 2024.
Following the CBSE Class 12th Science Date Sheet 2024, the exams kick off on February 22, 2024, with the English paper, followed by Chemistry on February 27, 2024. Physics is scheduled for March 4, 2024, followed by Mathematics on March 9, 2024. Physical Education is slated for March 12, 2024, and Biology on March 19, 2024. The final exam for Computer Science is scheduled for April 2, 2024.
The Arts stream exams commence on February 19, 2024, with the Hindi Elective and Hindi Core papers, followed by English on February 22, 2024, according to the CBSE Class 12th Humanities Date Sheet 2024. March 2024 is dedicated to core humanities courses such as geography, political science, economics, history, and Sanskrit. The sociology assignment deadline is set for April 1, 2024.
