The girlfriend of Jets backup quarterback Chris Streveler couldn’t help but laugh over his cameo on Tuesday’s season premiere of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”
In the latest installment of the NFL-centric docuseries — which is following the Jets at training camp ahead of the 2023 season — Streveler was seen dancing in the background of a handshake between starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner.
Taylor Lavonne, a traveling nurse, shared a boomerang of the moment on her Instagram Story, writing, “@cstrevy5 I see you jiggin.”
She also added a crying-laughing emoji and a disco ball animation.
The 28-year-old Streveler then shared the video on his Instagram Story.
Streveler’s moment was aired one day after the Jets announced they had waived him. He injured his thumb in the Jets’ 21-16 loss to the Browns in last week’s Hall of Fame game.
He completed one of seven pass attempts for nine yards in the game, along with an interception.
The quarterback cleared waivers and was reverted to the Jets’ injured reserve list, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday.
Streveler spent much of last season on the Jets’ practice squad.
He won over Jets fans during the 2022 NFL preseason when he led Gang Green to three comeback wins — including a 31-27 win over the Giants.
“Streveler had probably one of the greatest preseasons in the history of football,” head coach Robert Saleh said at the time. “He’s been awesome.”
The quarterback shared photos from the postgame celebration last August, including a snap that featured him holding the game ball while surrounded by teammates.
“Enjoy the moments,” he wrote on Instagram.
He posted a 72.7 completion percentage while throwing for 277 yards and five touchdowns last summer.
After the Jets benched Zach Wilson during last year’s Week 16 matchup against the Jaguars, Streveler completed 10 of 15 attempts for 90 yards and rushed for 54 yards.
New episodes of “Hard Knocks” air Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on HBO, with the season finale set for Sept. 5.
