The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Christian Bale, 50, was photographed on the set of his upcoming flick “The Bride” in NYC on Tuesday, along with his youngest child, Joseph, 10 — who appears to be playing an extra.
The movie will see “The Dark Knight” actor playing Dr. Frankenstein’s Monster.
Bale and his wife, former model Sibi Blazic, 52, who have been married since 2000, share kids Joseph and Emmaline, 19.
The film is directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, and co-stars Bale and Jessie Buckley, 34.
Gyllenhaal, 46, previously shared photos on social media of the actors in character.
Bale has played Batman, a serial killer, crooks, wrestlers, a magician, a race car driver, and now the famous Frankenstein’s monster.
Photos show the “American Psycho” star with slicked back hair and stitching on his face to resemble the famous Frankenstein’s monster.
Penélope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard (Gyllanhaal’s husband) and Annette Bening are also starring in the Warner Bros. thriller.
The movie was inspired by the 1935 film “Bride of Frankenstein,” which was inspired by original author Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.”
The plot follows Buckley as a young woman who is murdered and brought back to life in 1930s Chicago, playing the eponymous bride. She ends up surprising her creators as she seeks out romance and sparks a social movement.
In the new photos, Bale can be seen on set with his face partially obscured by a grey scarf.
He also wore a long brown and black trench coat, and a hat.
His son was in period attire in a flat cap, perhaps taking after his Oscar-winning actor father.
“The Bride!” is the Gyllenhaal’s second directorial feature after 2021’s “The Lost Daughter,” which also featured Buckley.
Sarsgaard 53, told the Independent that his wife’s new movie is a, “big, romantic, deeply romantic, wild, punk monster movie.”
“I think it’s going to be energizing! It’s rambunctious! People are going to be very surprised that this is Maggie’s second movie. It is nothing at all like ‘The Lost Daughter,’” he said
“The Bride” will face competition, however, as there’s another high-profile “Frankenstein” project also in the works.
Guillermo del Toro is currently filming his own Frankenstein with Jacob Elordi starring as the monster and Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, Charles Dance and Christoph Waltz rounding out the cast.
The movie is set for an October 2025 release.
