CLAT 2024 tomorrow: Exam day guidelines, items to carry and avoid, code of conduct and more

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is scheduled for tomorrow from 2PM to 4PM. The Admit Card for this pen-and-paper test was released on November 21 which can be downloaded till 1:30 PM tomorrow. The Consortium of Law Universities has issued exam day guidelines concerning documents to be carried, things prohibited inside the center as well as the schedule.CLAT consortium has also released certain safety guidelines to be followed at the test centers. CLAT 2024: What to carry
CLAT admit card 2024: The CLAT 2024 admit card holds crucial importance as it’s mandatory for entry into the test center. Accessible through the official exam website using your mobile number and password, this card is essential for all candidates.
ID proof: Accompanying this admit card, a valid original photo ID proof is required for entry. Both documents will be checked at the CLAT test center’s entrance. Acceptable IDs include Aadhar Card, Driver License, Passport, Voter ID, among others.
Attested photo: If the photo on the admit card is unclear, candidates must bring an attested photograph that matches the one on the CLAT 2024 admit card.
Disability certificate: Persons with Disability (PwD) category candidates must carry their disability certificate as well.
Blue/black ball-point pen: As CLAT 2024 is an offline exam, candidates must bring blue or black ball-point pens for all writing tasks. Other colors won’t be permitted for any documentation.
Transparent water bottle: Candidates are responsible for their water supply as the test center won’t provide water. Transparent water bottles are allowed. However, other types won’t be permitted.
Analogue watches: This year, these are also permitted for candidates within the test center.

CLAT 2024: Dress Code
CLAT examinees should adhere to specific attire guidelines:

  • Wear half-sleeve shirts without large buttons to conceal items.
  • Opt for light-colored clothing.
  • Choose either slippers or sandals for footwear.
  • Avoid bringing valuable items to the test center.
  • Refrain from wearing accessories like lockets, chains, nose pins, rings, etc.

General guidelines

  • All candidates need to arrive at their assigned CLAT exam center at least one hour before the exam starts, by 1:00 PM. No one will be permitted to enter the exam hall if they arrive 15 minutes after the exam begins.
  • Personal belongings must be left outside the centre, and the authorities won’t take responsibility for any loss or damage.
  • Upon arrival, candidates will sanitize their hands at the registration desk. They’ll then undergo a mandatory temperature check using thermal guns. According to the latest notification from the CLAT Consortium, individuals who are COVID-positive and isolating won’t be allowed to take the exam.
  • The entry gate authorities will check the admit card and original photo ID, so candidates should have these readily available for verification.
