A Coles customer has urged shoppers to urgently check their emails after receiving a surprise $100 voucher from the supermarket giant.
Sharing on a popular Facebook page, the customer and Flybuys member revealed how she’d been sent the random gift in an unexpected message.
The email read: “You’ve been gifted $100 to spend online at Coles. A little thanks, from us, to you.

“At Coles, we’re helping keep the cost of living down by giving customers more value on every shop through our loyalty program, Flybuys.
“As a valued Coles customer and Flybuys member, we want to take the opportunity to thank you for your continued loyalty to Coles with a little gift.
“As a token of our gratitude and to help make your budget go further, we would like to present you with a $100 Coles gift code to use on a future shop online at Coles.”
In her post, the shopper said she’d almost forgotten about the gift.
“Check your email from Flybuys, guys,” she wrote on the Markdown Addicts Australia page.
“Coles sent me this about two weeks ago and I almost forget about it. Placed an online order just now and it worked. (I believe every code is different).”
Other shoppers followed the shoppers advice and were surprised to see a voucher waiting for them in their inbox.
“OMG thank you for this! I got one too! Flybuys is in my hubby’s email and he never checks it,” one said.
Another said: “I was one of the lucky ones to get one!”
A third wrote: “Thank you! I completely missed the email!”
Some others said they suspected the email was a scam – but was excited to see it work.
“I got one too, I thought it was fake at first but nope the code worked,” one said.
Another said: “I got this offer two weeks ago, I was In shock!”
7NEWS.com.au understands that the offer was not extended to all Coles shoppers and Flybuys members, with only selected customers receiving a voucher.
A Coles spokesperson said thousands of shoppers have been rewarded in recent weeks.
“Coles has been thanking its most loyal shoppers who are Flybuys members,” the spokesperson told 7NEWS.com.au.
“In June/July, thousands of our most engaged Flybuys members received either a physical $100 gift card sent in the post to spend in-store, a digital gift code to use online with Coles or 10,000 Flybuys bonus points, as a thank you for their loyalty to Coles.
“The gifts are a token of Coles’ appreciation to its most loyal shoppers. It’s an ongoing initiative so there will be more ‘surprise and delight’ moments for Coles customers throughout the year.
“This is a way of us saying thank you to our loyal Flybuys members for their continuous support to our team, our suppliers and community partners over the years.”
